BON VOYAGE ....

The BROOD before departure to Canada

It was a very emotional moment for the whole family especially for Mama and Papa. This is the start of the day my Brother will be away from us for 2 years or more. He'll be seeking his fortune in a land foreign not just to us but for him as well. But I have high hopes and have so much faith in my bro that he'll make it no matter where he will migrate. He's very independent, resourceful, witty, adaptable and flexible in any change that comes his way and this big move that he's making is nothing to be afraid of for I know he has the skills, talents and accomplishments needed to succeed in his career and in life as a whole.

After our Parents left for Lucena that same morning, it was amazing to find out the ones left are the 5 of us! It's moving to note that even if we all don't live together anymore, fate will always brings us together. It was one of those moments you know that your siblings will always be with you to love, hope, care and support you in whatever endeavor you'll take.It was during that time the bond among brothers and sisters is relived and served as a reminder that we are behind each other no matter what.

This family has gone thru so much trials and tribulations over the years. And each time we face a challege, we always win the battle. For together we stand, divided we fall and this, I know,is the true meaning of FAMILY.

I'm blessed to be included in this FAMILY. We may have our own imperfections but whose family doesn't have? The several shortcomings we encountered only made this FAMILY stronger and more bonded. Each time I pray I always thank God for giving me the FAMILY that I have right now. They're my strength, inspiration and support.

I know wherever I may be I am complete and happy for I know I have them and we have each other.

GOOD LUCK BRO! Wishing you ONLY THE BEST!

Kick their As*** off and show them what you got! Let them eat dust!

DANCING DIVAs

Couples young and old danced to the tune of "Santa Clara Pinong-pino" in the age old Obando Fertility Rites Festival held in Bulacan. Every year in mid-May, thousands of childless couples flock to the church in Barangay Pag-Asa, the town center, to implore its celebrated patron saints Santa Clara, San Pascual and Nuestra SeƱora de Salambao for intercession. (Ching Tan)

Presenting! My first published photo. This was posted today at Asian Journal Online edition. Thanks to Miko for giving me a break. It was truly a memorable experience for me doing my first professional field work as a photographer.

The stint gave me an opportunity to witness what and how it's like to participate in a cultural event such as this. You can really feel the gusto in every devotee to dance and walk for the patron saints namely Saint Claire, Saint Pascual and Nuestra Senora de Salambao. Their spiritual devotion to the mentioned Saints is very admirable considering most of the devotees came from different parts of the country or even the world just to pay homage primarily to Saint Claire and to ask for a child. The Obando Fertility Rites Festival manifests how religious Filipinos are and how persistent they can be just so their petition will be granted.Faith can really move mountains but in this case, devotees walked and danced to the tune of "Santa Clarang pinong pino" to ask for different petitions but mostly for childless couple to have a child of their own.

This is just my first time and I know I still have loads of tricks to master and guts to muster for me to hurdle physical and emotional obstacles in this profession. I'm not really eyeing to be immersed in this kind of profession but I want to do it once in a while. I love the feeling of wearing different hats, it makes you feel proud that you're not just stuck to do one thing and it enables you to maximize your God-given talents while doing your time here on earth.

THERE REALLY IS LIFE after SCB! ... a better one =p

AMEN!

TESTIMONY

Just want to share the testimony I wrote in Friendster for my Baby, here goes :

" It's not difficult to write an article about this guy for you'll not run out of good things to say.To start with he makes me Laugh-he's really Funny,Spontaneous( remember our unscheduled out of town trips ) & Adventurous (Lumusong sa baha just to bring me home). He's the most Generous, Thoughtful & Loving person I know. He'd think of my own welfare first before his.He even gave me his prize just so I can visit my friend in Malaysia.

Little did his friends know he's also a loving & caring Son.He would call his Mom every now & then & would always end up the call with the words " I LOVE YOU ".Our family isn't really vocal with what we feel & because of him, I learned to do the same with my parents as often as I could. He's also a supportive & responsible Brother-yup!, when his Sister went to the US, he'd call her almost everyday just to know how she is.

I'm really blessed to have you Miko! I thanked God I found my Best Friend in you. Stay the way you ar "

I'm not quite satisfied with its ending for I know I wrote more than that. Oh well, maybe the letters exceeded the 1000 maximum requirement.

On a different note, I received two calls (different times) from the HR supervisor of EWB. She told me that I was considered for the Customer Service Supervisor position. I was happy to receive the news but my happiness was cut short when she mentioned if I'm willing to have a salary way below than what I used to get. Due to disbelief, I blurted out " I don't think so ". Then she mentioned she'll call me back. Which she did but still what she's offering is way below than what I was expecting. I already mentioned to the manager who interview me that if they can't give me a higher salary atleast an amount same as the one I used to get. But I guess with this Bank they're a bunch of tightwads who's expecting a gold for a price of nickel.

I just hope my application with the other department of this same Bank will gets approved within the week. I really want to get the said position, it'll definitely give me career and personal growths.
