OPRAH.COM

Below is today's entry on my journal in Oprah.com, my very first creation that's why it's called as such.I'm not sure if I'll post here the succeeding entries but for the meantime here's a breakthrough .......

THE FIRST STEP
February 23, 2005

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step...so they say.

I'm now making this first step to put my thoughts into words without any reservations and restrictions. This single step will allow me to discover who I really am. To be true to myself more and not minding what other people may think or say about me just because I think differently. However, let me start this first with the seven things I'm grateful for today.

* I thank God for another day. For giving me the chance to marvel at His works.

* I thank God for giving to me my Parents who have always been supportive and loving.

* I thank God for my siblings especially my brother Milton for always being there whenever I need a friend, a critique, counselor and a BANK! ( He is my credit officer, he! he! he! )

* I thank God for giving Miko to me who's been my mentor, confidante and lover. He's helped me in many ways and allows me to be ME.

* I thank God for the friends I have now. This is the time when I can find out who among the crowd is truly sincere, compassionate, caring and true to me. Thank God for Eunice, Camille and Weng =) I know I have other friends out there that are real however, at this time these three are what I'm comfortable talking things with the most.

* I thank God for emails and internet for it bridges the gap in communication due to barriers like proximity and language.

* I thank God for shows like Oprah for whenever I watch it I feel elated and relieved knowing that somebody sincerely cares about people who are not fortunate enough to enjoy the ' GOOD LIFE '.

There are a lot of things I'm grateful for and this space isn't enough. I can go on and enumerate the opportunities God has given me to appreciate and enjoy life but this I think is IT for now.

Whenever they say " Life is like a box of chocolate, you'll never know what you're gonna get "....just be grateful whether it's dark, white or bittersweet... it's still chocolate! Life is exciting and challenging. And for the daily routine we have to live always make the first step.... GIVE THANKS!
